The Amulay Partnership Ending on Feb 23'
Despite all the times we faced issues, we stuck by Amulay. Even when he let us down, the community asked for change, and yet I stood by him. I continued to trust him, even when there were signs we might need a different direction. In the beginning, I was paying him directly, covering his time and work. But after the mint, when funds started to come in, you as the community began to pay him to keep the project going. The mint funds were being used to keep the wheels turning, to sustain momentum. But, as I’ve always said, it's time to let it all out and be transparent about everything.
Amulay expressed interest in being a partner in the Reignlabs ecosystem. But there was one significant problem: he didn’t want to contribute any capital to the venture. Instead, he was demanding to be paid for what he considered to be his 50% of the work. The deal we had was clear, his role was to handle the contracts and 50% of community outreach, while I would manage everything else. That was the plan to help try to get Moose Society back on its feet.
But, as you can see, the plan was flawed. We had already faced so many issues with him in the past, and the idea of moving forward with this partnership wasn’t as solid as we initially hoped. The lack of commitment on both sides and unresolved issues made it clear that this wasn’t going to work as we expected.
When Amulay started speaking to me like I was working for him, that’s when I knew the relationship was done. I was not going to let someone talk to me that way after everything I had done and all the money he had received from us. $70,000+. That was not professional, and it was the moment I realized the partnership was over. I was done tolerating that behavior after everything we had been through.
