Funding

Initial Funding

Sean and I initially invested $45,000 from mining profits to start this venture. However, as we progressed with the creation process and faced unexpected costs—like the $6000 payment to Brian and various initial contact fees—we found ourselves running short of funds before we reached the minting stage. With everything going on, we realized we didn’t have enough to get through the final stretch.

That’s when Sean stepped in again. On December 15th, 2021, just 10 days before the mint, he took an additional $15,000 of his own money and injected it into the project. Without that crucial contribution, we wouldn’t have been able to finish the project, especially since we were already financially tied to Amulay for payment. Sean’s additional investment was the lifeline that allowed us to meet those final expenses and ensure we could launch the project. Like I have already said, Amulay over charged us for what we received. I know that now. It was embarrassing.

This financial commitment from Sean played a pivotal role in getting the Moose Society off the ground, and it’s something that needs to be acknowledged as a major part of the project's journey.

Other Funds

A significant portion of my personal funds were used to create the custom Island NFTs, which were a key part of the project's offering. I covered all of the costs to get the designs created, to have them generated, and then to have them uploaded to the blockchain. This wasn’t a small expense—it was a critical investment to ensure that the project had high-quality, unique assets for the community to engage with. I personally took on all of these costs to make sure the project could deliver something valuable and distinctive from the outset.

In addition to this, I paid for the domain and website, ensuring everything was set up before the initial launch. These efforts were all funded out of my pocket to create a professional, polished experience for everyone involved.

While the project’s funding went to paying Amulay and supporting giveaways, I want to clarify that my personal financial contributions were focused on building the custom NFTs and the infrastructure necessary to bring the project to life. I had no involvement in the distribution of those other funds, as my primary responsibility was to ensure the technical and creative aspects of the project were well-executed.
